Hasegawa

Promising Brazilian techno artist Arthur Hasegawa rekindles the interest in the new generation of music producers outside the traditional circuit. Raised in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, this young DJ and producer seeks in the plurality of dance music his full expression, while his tracks, ideas, covers and other aspects of his work make him aspire to constant transformation, sensible expansion and evolution.

As Hasegawa's authenticity resides in his honest relationship with the music and the audience, his audacious way of producing is like a mirror of his curious personality. He imprints a sound aesthetic that seems to converge his past, present, and future; from his years as a bassist and metal player to the raver quality of his current Techno sound, always with a hint of trance and arpeggiating hypnotic elements as a basis for dance.

So, his first release, "In Heat", soon led him to collect almost two million plays on Spotify, further demonstrating the studio technical expertise he has accumulated during 10 years of hard work - three of them as a DJ. The help of L_cio and Andre Salata as mentors also made a difference in his path, such as the release of the "Aspire" EP, by the famous Brazilian label Kaligo, which reached #12 on Beatport's general release chart, and #2 on the Techno Releases chart.

More recently Hasegawa reached #1 on Beatports techno releases chart, with his EP Atitude in collaboration with Lokust by the label IAMT. Hasegawa is finding support from the big names, such as Alex Stein and Victor Ruiz.
